Identical ROM Dumps (MD5)

Both players must possess the exact same ROM file. Even a 1-byte header difference or regional difference (USA vs Europe 50Hz) causes immediate desync and disconnects.

2

Matching Core Versions

In RetroArch, both handhelds must use the identical Libretro core (e.g. FB Neo v1.0.0.3 or mGBA v0.10.3). Update both devices to latest CFW before connecting.

3

Zero Save States During Netplay

Loading a save state while Netplay is active desynchronizes the frame memory between consoles. Always use in-game battery saves or reset together.
